Suryakumar Yadav Successfully Undergoes Sports Hernia Surgery
Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav has successfully undergone surgery for a sports hernia in Munich, Germany. The 34-year-old cricketer is currently in recovery.
Suryakumar Yadav shares post-surgery update.
Yadav, who last represented India in the T20I series against England in February, shared an update on his successful surgery via social media. He expressed his eagerness to return to the cricket field.
In his social media post, Suryakumar Yadav confirmed the surgery details, stating: "Underwent surgery for a sports hernia in the lower right abdomen. Grateful to share that after a smooth surgery, I'm already on the road to recovery. Can't wait to be back."
The surgery follows Suryakumar's remarkable performance in the recent Indian Premier League (IPL). He showcased exceptional batting prowess for the Mumbai Indians, amassing 717 runs in 16 innings. This performance solidified his position as the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament.
His most recent international appearance was in India's five-match T20I series against England, which concluded in early February. The timing of his surgery and subsequent recovery coincides with India's ongoing five-match Test series against England.
