A year has passed since India ended their 17-year T20 World Cup title drought with a thrilling final victory over South Africa at Kensington Oval. The intense match went down to the wire, with India ultimately holding their nerve to secure the championship.

The victory was the result of a dominant and resilient campaign that saw India remain undefeated throughout the tournament.

One of the most memorable moments was the high-stakes clash between India and Pakistan. Rohit recalled the intensity, saying, "It wasn’t just a game. Two days before the match, we were locked in — tight security, fans everywhere, you could feel something special was coming. It felt like a festival had taken over.”

India emerged victorious by six runs in a tense, low-scoring affair, with Jasprit Bumrah earning Player of the Match for his exceptional performance of 3 for 14.

Despite an early batting collapse, Rishabh Pant's courageous 42 off 31 balls steadied the innings and propelled India to a total of 119. "On that pitch, his 42 was like scoring 70," Rohit noted. "We knew 140 was par, but with our bowlers, even 119 could work.”

Rohit praised Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh for their flawless execution of the game plan. “Bumrah is a weapon — he takes wickets and dries up runs. Arshdeep’s been brilliant too, and they were crucial in pushing the game in our favour.”

From the electrifying atmosphere of the India-Pakistan match to the nail-biting final in Barbados, Rohit's reflections highlight a team that created lasting memories for a nation.
