Coldplay kiss cam scandal
The joyous Wembley proposal comes just weeks after Coldplay’s “kisscam” made global headlines for a cheating scandal. Married former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron was caught on the big screen, embracing a woman later revealed to be his colleague Kristin Cabot. Their awkward reaction prompted the singer to joke about the two possibly having an affair.
The incident snowballed online, leading to memes, the breakdown of Byron’s marriage, his resignation, and even an unusual PR twist. The company temporarily brought in Martin’s ex, Gwyneth Paltrow, as a spokesperson to help contain the fallout.
